NOTICE OF HEARING

Notice to the public is hereby given that on December 4, 2014, at 9:00 o’clock a.m., in the Superior Court of Dade County, at the courthouse in said county, a hearing will be held in the case of the State of Georgia v. Dade County and the City of Trenton, on the petition to validate general obligation debt of Dade County in a principal amount not to exceed $4,900,000 for the purpose of financing the acquisition, construction and equipping of various capital outlay projects of Dade County and the City of Trenton, which purposes were authorized by the voters of Dade County voting in an election held on May 20, 2014, on the question of whether or not to reimpose a special one percent sales and use tax for a period of time not exceed six years for the purpose of financing such capital outlay projects. The approval by the voters also constituted approval of general obligation debt of Dade County in the maximum principal amount of $4,900,000.
At said hearing all persons having a right to be heard with respect to said general obligation debt and the validation thereof and all other issues to be presented to the court, may be heard.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Dade County and the City of Trenton will hold a public meeting on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room located inside the Dade County Administrative Building located at 71 Case Avenue, Trenton, Georgia 30752 to review and discuss a draft of an update to the Dade County/City of Trenton Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan is required by the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. The County and City considers any public input into this plan a valuable contribution. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Once the plan update is completed, there will be one additional public meeting held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. prior to consideration for adoption by the Board of Commissioners of Dade County, Georgia.
