On Nov. 24th Dade County deputies responded to Phillips Lane on Sand Mountain on a theft of metal report.

While on the scene, Deputy Brittany Geddie was able to locate a trail leaving the scene of the crime that led her to the residence of Marvin Dewayne Christopher. While on the scene, Deputy Geddie assisted Dade detectives in locating the stolen property which was recovered in Alabama at a scrap metal business.

Detectives were able to confirm that Christopher was the person that sold the stolen items. Christopher was taken into custody by Deputy Geddie and transported to the Dade County Jail.

Christopher was charged with theft by taking and probation violation.
