DOT Workers Clearing I-59

 

Georgia DOT Maintenance crews will work on trimming overgrown vegetation along Interstate 59 in Dade County to reclaim right of way and preserve safety zones along these major arterials. Work will proceed daily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., through Friday.    

Each day, hundreds of Georgia DOT employees and contractors work on highway, bridge and intersection improvements throughout the state.   Please help keep them safe by slowing down; being especially attentive and cautious as you pass through construction work zones; and always driving responsibly.   

 

"Run For God" Begins Aug. 29

 

Trenton First Baptist Church is inviting the community to participate in the Run For God Bible study that begins Aug. 29 at 8 p.m.

The program will continue each Wednesday through Nov. 14. The first 5K is Nov. 17.

1941–1944 Class Reunion

 

Dade High School classes of 1941, 1942, 1943 and 1944 will hold their annual class reunion Aug. 25 at Randy’s Restaurant beginning at 11 a.m.

 

Teen Dating Workshop

 

First Things First of Chattanooga will present a two-day workshop on teen dating at Trenton United Methodist Church.

The workshop is a value-structured approach to dating etiquette and expectations and instructs as to what defines healthy dating relationships and what constitutes abusive relationships.

The workshop is Aug 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Trenton UMC .
