Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

 

Deadlines Moved Up

 

The Sentinel is pushing up deadlines for the Sept. 5th edition due to the Labor Day holiday.

All business display ads will have a deadline of  1 p.m. on Thursday. News releases, photographs, community news, calendar items, etc., must be submitted by Friday morning at 10.

Classified ads will have a deadline of 3 p.m. Friday.

The Sentinel office will be closed Sept. 3 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

 

Welcoming Camps

 

Dade County Middle School and Dade County High School are hosting a “Welcoming Camp” for incoming sixth and ninth grade students Friday.

Upcoming sixth–grade students are invited to attend the Welcoming Camp at Dade Middle School from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Ninth graders will attend from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

There will be designated bus stops throughout the county for student pick up.

See page 3 for a list of bus stops.

 

Open House For DES, Davis

 

Dade and Davis Elementary Schools will have their Open Houses Thursday from 4-6:30 p.m.

Parents and students are invited to come meet the teachers, get classroom supply lists and tour the school campus.

 

Schools Have Longer Day

 

The morning bell will be ringing earlier when Dade County students return to class Tuesday and the dismissal bell will be chiming a little later each afternoon.

Dade Elementary School and Davis Elementary will be in class from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.; Dade Middle School from 7:50 a.m. until 3:20 p.m. and Dade County High School will begin at 8 a.m. and dismiss at 3:35 p.m.
