Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

 

Free GED Classes

 

Dade County offers free GED classes in two locations – Dade County Senior Center and Davis Elementary School.

Starting Sept. 24th the class schedule will be as follows: Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Davis Elementary School; Tuesday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Davis Elementary School; Monday and Tuesday, 4–8 p.m. at Dade County Senior Center; Wednesday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., Dade County Senior Center; Thursday 8 a.m. - noon and 4–8 p.m. at the Dade County Senior Center.

All class materials are provided.

Roadside Mowing

 

Georgia DOT’s maintenance crews will be mowing the roadsides of SR 58 and SR 299 in Dade County through Friday.

Work will proceed daily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting.       

 

Book Fair At DMS

 

Dade Middle School is hosting a Book Fair from Scholastic now through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Book Fair will be open each day and feature a wide range of books for young teens and adults, including mystery and adventure novels, fantasy series, sports guides, graphic novels, and the latest bestsellers from more than 100 publishers.

Parents, children, teachers, and the community are invited to attend. 

 

Back–To– School Bash

 

Davis PTO is sponsoring at the annual Back-to-School Bash from 5–7 p.m. tomorrow.

There will be games, food and fun for the whole family.
