New Salem Mtn. Festival
The annual New Salem Mountain Festival is Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the New Salem Community Center, featuring food, music and arts and crafts produced locally and brought in from far away.
Cost is $5 for adults and children under 11 are free.
Additionally, Jeff McBryar’s Triple H Farms and Meat Co. will host a Sorghum Squeezing in conjunction with the festival at 144 Zelpha Lane – follow the signs from Highway 136.
Book Sale At The Library
The Dade County Library’s used book sale continues all this week on the library’s open days – Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Come pick up a few bargains and, incidentally, help the library survive recent financial blows.
DCHS Alumni Night Is Friday
Friday is the annual Alumni Night at Dade County High School's football game. Football players, band members, and cheerleaders are invited to attend.
Alumni members are admitted free with their alumni coin.
Alumni band members are invited to come play in the stands or on the field during the halftime program.
Warm ups being at 6 p.m. Music is in the office at DCHS for pick-up.
