SAMUEL JOHNSON, SR.

Samuel “Sam” Eric Johnson, Sr., age 55, of Ider, Ala., originally from Lenoir City, Tenn., passed away Dec.28, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willis B. and Lillian Bandy Johnson; two brothers Jackie Johnson and Henry Johnson; and one sister Celia Johnson.

Survivors include his wife Darlene Johnson; son, Eric (Taylor) Johnson; daughters, Khristie (Kim) Johnson and Marci (Kevin) Williams; daughter-in-law, Sherry O’Tinger; eleven grandchildren, Katie, Jake, and Dakota Johnson, Abbie and Patrick Ridge, Tarah and Ashley Parrish, Haley Williams, Jeremy, Brittany, and Leon Hughes; brother, Willis Johnson; sisters, Beulah Wright, Betty Johnson, Pat Robinson, Selina Kellar, and Carol Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Dec. 30, 2012 in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel.

JUDY OTT

Judy Carol Ott, 65, of Pisgah, Ala., passed away Dec. 26 at Chestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Ala.

Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Ott; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Dana Ott, Greg and Holli Ott all of Rosalie, Ala.; brothers, Otis Miller and Billy Miller both of Stevenson, Ala.; sisters, Opal Curtis, Ola Atchley and Ethel Rich all of Stevenson, Ala.; three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 29 in the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Freeman and Rev. Charles Smith officiating.

Interment was in Green Haven Memorial Garden.

BLANCHE SLOAN

Blanche Imogene Sloan, age 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Dec. 20, 2012. She was a retired Trust Officer with SunTrust Bank after numerous years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ransy and Esta Sloan of Madisonville, Tenn.; two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her niece, Pam Roach of Virginia.

A memorial service was held 6 PM Dec. 27, 2012 in the chapel with Chaplain Christy Bonner with Hospice of Chattanooga officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.

LULA TALLEY

Lula M. Talley, 95, of Bryant, Ala., passed away, Dec. 21, 2012 at Dade Health & Rehab. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, Alabama until recently. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Talley; sons, Hershel, Hubert and Charles; daughter, Mary Grace Frazier; grandsons, Marshall Frazier, Billy Talley and Gary Goff and granddaughter, Lisa Talley.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Daisy McBryar, Bryant, Ala., Sally Bramlett, Chatsworth, Mildred and Sam McDonald, Flat Rock, Ala., Marsha Lynn and Murphy Rogers, Bryant, Ala; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Judy, Tenn., Larry Talley, Bryant, Ala. and Calvin Talley, Bryant, Ala.; 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Dec. 24, 2012 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Smith and Rev. Roy Veneble officiating.

Interment was in Old Baptist Cemetery, Hollywood, Ala.

CHARLENE WETHERINGTON

Charlene Wetherington, 53, of Trenton, passed away Dec. 26.

Survivors include the staff and care givers at Dade Health and Rehab.

No services will be held.
