JACKIE CLARK
Bobbie Lois
“Jackie” Clark, 82, passed away Jan. 7. She was a life-long resident of Dade
County and a member of the Church of God.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, I.G. Clark; son, Jerry David Clark; grandson,
Jonathan Clark; parents, Thomas David and Mary Elizabeth Shelton.
Survivors include
her daughter, Judy Lynn Clark; son, Johnny Lebron Clark both of Trenton;
sisters, Mildred Hollingsworth, Edna Walker, Martha Jones, Darlene Smith, Burma
Plumley, Tina Bolton; brothers, T.J. Shelton and Leonard Shelton; three
grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be private.

Medlock, 54, of Pisgah, Ala., passed away Jan. 13.
Survivors
include her sister, Mary Jane Medlock; and sister, Leonda Medlock both of
Pisgah, Ala.

services will be held at 11 a.m. CST today in the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. David Hairston officiating.
Interment was
in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Pisgah, Ala.

Patrick Joseph
Murphy, 54, of Pisgah, Ala., passed away Jan. 10. He was a Shriner and also a
member of Pisgah Progress Lodge #870.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, Wesley and Madeline Roberts Murphy; and brother,
Alfred B. Murphy.
Survivors
include his son, Forrest Murphy of Hampton; brother, Audie E. Murphy of Pisgah,
Ala.; sisters, Margie Phillips of Leesburg, Ala., Barbara Phillips of Pisgah,
Ala., Linda Stinnett (Donald) of Hollywood, Ala.; 14 nephews and 17 nieces.
Funeral
services were held Jan. 13 in the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud
Durham and Rev. David Smith officiating.

Richard Dennis
Powell, 70, of Scottsboro, Ala., passed away Jan. 10.
Survivors
include his wife, Rita G. Powell of Scottsboro, Ala.; sons, Richard Powell, II
of Hartford, Conn., James Powell of Louisa, Ky.; step-son, Matthew Vaughn of
Cullman, Ala.; daughter, Jamie Gallager of Denver, Co.; sister, Connie Langford
of Des Monies, Iowa.
Funeral

Interment was
held in Friendship Cemetery in Pisgah, Ala.

JAMES T. SHUPE
James T. Shupe,
76, of Graysville, Tenn., passed away Jan. 6. He was a native of Ronceverte, W.
VA., and had lived the majority of his life in the Trenton and Chattanooga
areas before moving into his dream home in Sequatchie County. He served as a
Manufacturers Representative in heating, ventilation and air conditioning and
was former owner of Shupe, Carboni and Associates for many years. He served his
country in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, Iles and Electra Smith Shupe; brothers, Iles and
William Shupe; sister, Neva Wright and niece, Marianne Berber.
Survivors
include his wife of 53 years, Kathy George Shupe; daughters, Jennifer (Brent)
Brumlow of Chattanooga, and Cindy (Bruce) Limbach of Verona, Ill.;
grandchildren, Karen, Lyndie and Joseph Carboni, Raney Brumlow, Curtis and
Amanda Limbach; sister, Eva Shupe Smith; nephews, Ed Smith and Terry Woods.
Funeral
services were Jan. 10th in the South Crest Chapel with Chaplain Jack Nichols
officiating. Burial was in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military
honors.

Russell D.
Wilks, 94, of Sylvania, Ala., passed away Jan. 10. He was retired from being a
construction superintendent with Sullivan, Long and Haggerty of Birmingham,
Ala. He was also a retired hog farmer and a well-known gospel singer for the
last 80 years.

include his wife, Donnie Barrontine Wilks; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl
and Michael Jones, Rhonda and Billy Sizemore and Debbie and Charles Sizemore
all of Sylvania, Ala.; grandchildren, Rob and Donna Jones of Huntsville, Ala.,
Steve Jones of Greenville, S.C., Wade and Jania Sizemore, Carley and John
Windsor, Chip Sizemore all of Sylvania, Ala., Chad and Candace Sizemore of
Central, Ala., Angela and Clinton Thomas of Ider, Ala.; great-grandchildren,
