BILLY ANDERSON
Billy Anderson,
60, of Trenton, passed away Feb. 26. He was employed with Accellent Inc., of
Trenton as a mechanic in the maintenance department. Mr. Anderson was a veteran
of the U.S. Air Force and was of the Church of God faith.
Mr. Anderson
was preceded in death by his son, Josh Anderson.
Survivors
include his wife, Sue Anderson, Trenton; daughter, April Keith, Trenton; sons,
Shan (Joni) Anderson, Trenton; Justin Hicks, Trenton; sisters, Barbara Hall and
Martha Martin, both of Trenton; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral
services were Feb. 28 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dolas Bain
officiating. Interment was in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

ORBAN ATCHLEY
Orban Edward
Atchley, 82, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Feb. 27. He was a long time resident
of Bryant and attended Bryant Holiness Church. Orban (Slim) retired from
Combustion Engineering after 30 years as a boilermaker. After his retirement,
he remained active farming, gardening, fishing, and deer hunting with his son
and family. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Orban
was also a successful contractor overseeing the construction of numerous new
homes and remodeling projects.
He was preceded
in death by his mother, Fannie Pennington Atchley; father, Ruford Atchley; son,
Jimmy Neal Atchley; granddaughter, Connie Atchley; brothers Hershell, Gene,
Ray, and Billy Atchley; sister, Margie Baker.
Survivors
include his loving wife of 62 years, Louise Hutcheson Atchley; daughter, Shelia
(Dale) Shoemake; grandsons, Orban Edward Atchley II and Christopher Dale
(Carrie) Shoemake; granddaughter, Joy (Micheal) Bridger; great-grandchildren,
Lexie Gass, Tatum Gass, Bransyn Bridger and Logan Shoemake; brothers, Roy
Atchley, Donald (Deana) Atchley and Harold (Sue) Atchley; sisters, Erma
Venable, Verna (Johnny) Waters and Earline (Roy) Lea; a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral
services were March 1 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Higdon and
Bro. Edwin Spurgeon officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

BOYD GIVENS
Boyd Thomas
Givens, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away March 2 at Erlanger Medical Center.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, Clarence and Grace Sweet Givens; sister, Mary Lee
Givens.
Survivors
include his wife, Rebecca Wicks Givens of Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law,
Sonia and Aaron Moss of Rossville; brothers, Arlie Givens, Loy Givens; sisters,
Pat Bacon, Shirley Shelton, Darlene Howard, Gloria McCullia, Linda Kinslee;
grandchildren, Sydney Moss and Arwen Moss.
Funeral
services were held March 4 in the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Laney
officiating.
Interment was
in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Pisgah, Ala.

BILL MARONA
Billy “Bill”
Wilson Marona, 83, of Bryant, Ala., passed away, Feb. 27. He was retired from
Combustion Engineering and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was a
United States Army Korean War veteran and member of North Sand Mountain Masonic
Lodge and loved playing golf and gardening.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, Eddie and Dorothy Marona; wife of 59 years, Dorothy
Marona; brother, Eddie Earl Marona, Clarence
“Budge” Marona, William Powell Marona and Allen Marona; son, Dennis
Holland, Jr. and great grandson, Sumner Bynum.
Survivors
include his daughters, Marsha Holland (Robert) Bynum, Long Island, Ala.;
sister, Roxie Worley, Bryant, Ala.; five grandchildren, Robert (Daniel) Bynum,
Jr., Shannon (Kerry) Bynum, Denny (Alicia) Holland, Lynn (Dusty) Marona,
Kristen Marona; seven great–grandchildren.

officiating. Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Doris Jean
McBryar, 74, a lifelong resident of Trenton, passed away Feb. 28. She attended
General Church of God. Doris loved gardening, birds, fishing and being
outdoors. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Fred McBryar; parents, Bob and Edna Smith;
six brothers and sisters, J.L. Smith, Lucille Wallers, Bonnie Holt Allie
Kirkpatrick, Billy Stevens and R.L. Smith.
Survivors
include her son and daughter in law, Ronald and Vicki McBryar; sisters Betty Jo
Johnson; brothers Deward Smith, James H. Smith; seven grandchildren and 10

Doris Lucile
Miles, 75, of Trenton passed away March 2 at her residence. She was a homemaker and member of Mount Olive
Baptist Church.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Willie Miles; daughter, Doris Miles Williams;
son, William Miles and sister, Louella Ethridge.
