The Wolverines’ Teddy Cole had a big night against the Calhoun Yellow
Jackets getting two quarterback sacks and six tackles in the game won by the Yellow Jackets 38-0. Next up for the Wolverines will be
Pepperell at home Friday night. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Dade County
Wolverine football team traveled to Calhoun on Friday to take on the top–ranked
AA team in the state and came away with at least a moral victory.
On a night when
the host Yellow Jackets were unveiling their new jumbo tron and letting
everyone know all about their rich tradition of state runner ups and state
championships to go along with 115 football players, 270 band members and all
the rest. The Wolverines were not necessarily impressed with all the hoopla and
came out ready to play football.

half when quarterback Fields Chapman threw a five–yard touchdown pass to Logan
Walraven. Brandon Blaylock kicked the extra point and Calhoun was up 7-0.
Wolverine defense was playing well the offense was struggling to move the ball
on the talented Yellow Jackets. While the Yellow Jacket offense is suspect this
year their defense certainly takes up the slack.

time to Chandler Curtis for 42 yards. The Blaylock kick made it 31-0 Jackets.

Teddy Cole led
the Wolverines with six tackles, one tackle for loss and two quarterback sacks.
Garrett Moore had five tackles with two tackles for loss; and Damien Pickering
also had five tackles.
Those with four
tackles included Hayden Johnson who also had two assists and broke up a pass;
David Goff, one assist and one tackle for loss and Garrett Sharp and Tanner
Avery had three tackles and one assist.
