SENIORS! The Dade County softball team observed Senior Night last
Thursday during the Lady Wolverines final regular season home game.

The Dade County
Lady Wolverine softball team wrapped up the regular season last week, finishing
in second place behind the Calhoun Lady Yellow Jackets.

Lady Wolverines had to complete they traveled to Armuchee and played one
inning, dropping the game 2-1 to the Lady Indians.

The Lady Wolverines
got off to a fast start against the Lady Eagles, scoring four first inning runs
and then coasting to an easy 11-0, five inning win.

On Saturday the
Lady Wolverines traveled to Alto Park in Rome for the Region 7-AA Tournament.

It was a
different story this time around however. The Lady Wolverines scored one run in
the first inning when Lacy and Stevens singled and Carly Stephens doubled to

they lost a 10–inning game to earlier.
The two teams
played scoreless ball for the first two innings but in the third the Lady
Wolverines managed to push a run across when Pierce singled, stole second,
advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on a fielder’s choice by Ali
Wolverines added another run in the fourth inning without a hit when three
batters walked and two scored on passed balls giving them a 3-0 lead.
Wolverines put the game away in the fifth inning when they scored three more
runs on a single by Pierce, an RBI double by Lacy, a Stevens double and a two
RBI double by Stephens.
Dade gave up a run in the seventh to make the final 6-1
up the win recording 11 strikeouts and giving up only four hits.
With the two
wins on Saturday Dade secured their spot in the first round of the state
On Monday night
the Lady Wolverines faced Calhoun in the semi-finals of the region tournament.
