The Dade County Lady Wolverine basketball team got back on the court last Saturday for only their second game of the young season.

The Lady Wolverines traveled to Dalton to participate in the Southeast Whitfield Thanksgiving Tournament and faced the Lady Panthers of Ridgeland.

Both teams got off to a slow start but Dade managed a two point lead after the first quarter 8-6.

The young Lady Wolverines struggle in the second quarter only scoring six points but the Lady Panthers, who struggled as well, did manage to take a six point lead at the end of the first half, 20-14.

The two teams battled hard in the third quarter as the Lady Panthers racked up 12 points to the Lady Wolverines 11 but still held a 32-25 lead.

The fourth quarter was a different story all together as the Lady Wolverines fell apart and Ridgeland took full advantage of the situation and came away with a 46-30 win as the Lady Wolverines scored just six points in the final quarter.

Sarah Reid led Dade with nine points while Haley Gass scored eight, Tori Gass added five and Marjorie Bonner and Lauren Breeden scored four points each.

This week the Lady Wolverines faced Murray County on Tuesday and will travel to Armuchee on Friday, North Jackson on Saturday and to Coosa on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
