At times the
Lord used a donkey, rooster, fish, frogs, ravens, vultures, quail, and even the
flies to serve Him. It seems creatures obey the Lord, but not mankind. I
compiled some articles and thoughts about God’s designed creation and
created and designed each creature for a divine purpose: a fish is designed to
swim, a bird to fly, a rabbit to run, an eagle to soar, a dog to hunt and a cat
to lay around the house. You cannot change this design. It has been said that a
scientist tried to change their nature so he taught: the swimming duck to run;
the running rabbit to swim; the soaring eagle to become a turkey; and a hunting
dog to climb trees as a cat.
one slowly lost their divine design and became useless without purpose. The
duck soon stopped swimming, the rabbit quit running, the eagle lost desire to
soar because it enjoyed life on the ground, the dog never hunted again, but
just laid around with cat. They all lost their divine design and desire because
they tried to be something they were not. It is God’s divine design that ducks
swim, rabbits run, eagles soar, and dogs hunt.
stripes on zebras; monkeys playful; whales in oceans; small hummingbirds to
flutter; hyenas to laugh; apes to copy people; penguins in tuxedos; and a
special wag in the tail of a dog.
Man was God’s
greatest creation. He was given an eternal soul and the abilities to think,
know, and choose. All things were made for man: water to drink, food to
nourish, sun in the day, moon at night, rain to refresh nature, winds to move
clouds and air to breathe.
In this world
there are billions of people, but there is only one you. No one else is like
you. You are exceptional, original, incomparable and wonderfully made. God also
has a divine design just for you. Learn
that God made you just to be yourself, because you cannot be someone else.
As the eagle
soars, it can say, “This is where I belong.” As Ross Perot said, “Don’t send
turkeys to eagle school.” Don’t try to be something you are not.
“For if there
be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not
according to that he hath not” (II Corinthians 8:12). Use what you have and
know where you belong. Simply use your divinely designed abilities and just be
yourself for God. You cannot be me and I cannot be you, but all can be used of
God. You can be most used of God when you accept who you are and can say, “This
is where I belong. Thank you God!” There is only one you. Are you willing to do
what you can? Remember, you are
