The Dade County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that took place Saturday night at the RaceWay on Highway 299 in Wildwood.

According to Dade County Chief Investigator Don Hicks two robberies occurred in Chattanooga on Friday night and the description matched the robbery in Wildwood on Saturday.

The suspect is a black male approximately 5’6”, average weight and wearing a mask and yellow hoodie.

He entered the RaceWay and demanded money. He was armed with a pistol and left in a light colored SUV driven by another subject.

Shortly after it was believed the robbers committed another hold–up in Lookout Valley at the Waffle House.

The Friday robberies as well as the Waffle House robbery are being investigated by Chattanooga Police.

Investigator Hicks said he believed the Friday night robberies took place on Brown’s Ferry Road and the other in north Chattanooga.

Anyone with any information on the robberies is asked to contact the Dade County Sheriff’s Department at (706) 657- 3233 or the Chattanooga police.

The subjects are to be considered armed and dangerous.
