Department of Labor announced last week that the unemployment for December in
Northwest Georgia increased slightly to 7.2 percent.
Dade County got
good news from the report however as their rate dropped slightly to 5.4 per
cent, down from 5.7 per cent in November.
County rates were falling Catoosa and Walker counties had their rates hold
steady at 4.6 per cent and 5.7 per cent respectively.
County has the highest unemployment rate in the area at 8.8 percent.
