Political Debates
Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

Is it possible to love someone you have never seen? Thomas said, “Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe” (John 20:25). Some say, “Seeing is believing.” There is a difference in feelings, facts, and faith.

Faith is believing in what you cannot see, touch, feel or understand. Faith is believing whether you understand it or not. Man needs to understand that there are some things he cannot understand – understand? Some say, “God said it and I believe it. Well, it is true whether you believe it or not.

Christian faith, trust, belief, and hope are based upon the absolute authority of the Word of God. Your opinions and philosophies may change, but the Word of God never changes. A professor said about the Bible, “There is nothing that is absolute.”

A student asked, “Are you absolutely sure?” The Bible is the only authority, absolute, and assurance from God. One preacher said, “Some say God is dead, but this is not true because I talked to Him this morning.” Well, is it possible to love someone you have never seen?

I read the story of a young boy who was saved and later told his dad what happened. He then said, “Dad, I love you and I want you to go to Heaven with me.” The dad said, “Son, I cannot believe in someone I have never seen or met.” The boy then said, “Dad, mother died giving me birth. You told me much about her. Dad, I have never seen her, but I love her. She is my mother and she gave her life for me.” The dad then bowed his head and said, “You are right son, I know that Jesus also died for me. I have never seen Him, but as you love your unseen mother, I need also to love Him. Son, I now believe and receive Him as my Saviour.”

Is it possible to love someone you have never seen? Yes! “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Salvation is simply to believe and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).

Dear friend, you can also believe and receive Christ as your Saviour! Christians, we now have faith in Christ, but one day we will forever be with the Lord. “And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thess. 4:18). One day we will see what we now believe – Amen! These are Words of Wisdom.
