Political Debates
Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

Hutch Garmany will be the guest speaker at the Men’s Luncheon on Friday at Trenton United Methodist Church. He is shown with wife Ashleigh and sons Hutchinson, Win and Grey. All local men are invited to attend the noon meeting in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

The quarterly Men’s Luncheon sponsored by Trenton United Methodist Church will be this Friday at noon in the church fellowship hall.

The speaker for this meeting will be Hutch Garmany. He and his family are moving to Trenton and starting a new church.

Garmany grew up in Chickamauga and attended Gordon Lee High School where he played football and remembers the annual battle with, what was then Northwest Georgia High School. We used to say, “Nobody hits like those boys in Dade County!” he fondly recalls.

After graduation from Gordon Lee, Hutch went to the University of Georgia earning his degree in Landscape Architecture.

It was in college that Hutch was led to the Lord by a campus minister with Campus Crusade for Christ.

“I was a wild fraternity guy, the last person you would have imagined would enter the ministry!” he said. But that is exactly what happened.

Upon graduation he joined Campus Crusade where he spent the next four years ministering to college students at Georgia and Ole Miss.

“I loved reaching college students, particularly the wildest and most lost. They reminded me of myself and how the Lord sought me when I was as far as could be from him,” he said. It was while working on the college campus that he met his bride Ashleigh, whom he married in 2005.

After four years in college ministry, Hutch and Ashleigh moved to Orlando, Fla., where Hutch attended Reformed Theological Seminary earning his Master of Divinity in 2008. Upon graduating Seminary, he was called to become the Assistant Pastor of Discipleship at Rock Creek Fellowship, a church on Lookout Mountain, where he has served for five years.

In the summer of 2013, God began calling Hutch and Ashleigh to plant a new church in Trenton. It is their hope that this new church will embody the gospel of grace to the un-churched of Trenton. They are presently moving to Trenton and are eager to be a part of the community.

Hutch and Ashleigh Garmany have three young sons, Hutchinson 6, Win 4, and Grey 3. In his ‘spare’ time Hutch loves to hunt, fish and follow Georgia football.

Lunch is at noon and everyone is welcome to attend.
