State Working On Hwy. 136
As part of its integrated roadside vegetation management program, Georgia DOT maintenance crews will begin their work on trimming overgrown vegetation along State Route 136 in Dade County. Work will proceed daily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Integrated roadside vegetation management is a method to bring together social and cultural elements, biological concerns, and mechanical treatments to economically manage roadsides for motorist safety, environmental health and visual quality.
Survey For Dade Citizens
The Dade County Chamber of Commerce and Covenant College are kicking off the ‘Dream for Dade’ campaign! Covenant College students will begin distributing surveys in the county today asking residents what their hopes and dreams are for the county.
Covenant students will be handing out surveys at grocery stores, community meetings, sporting events etc., during the next few weeks. After the surveys have been filled out, the students will be analyzing the data, so as to provide the Chamber with a summary of the results.
If you would like to have a voice in this project, please approach a student wearing a crimson shirt in the next month, or stop by the Chamber office to fill out a survey.
