Political Debates
Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

Robert Goff

I am Robert Goff and I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for the upcoming primary election on May 20, 2014. I am a candidate for the State Representative District 1 seat. I have served on the Dade County Commission as the District 3 Commissioner, for the past five years. According to state law I had to resign that seat if I qualified to seek another elected position.

I am thankful for the opportunity to have served the people of Dade County for the past five years. I have lived in Dade County since the day I was born. I am truly a life long resident.

I will, when elected, represent both the people of western Walker County and all of Dade, which make up the 1st District. I feel that I have both the qualifications and the experience to be the voice of the people in Georgia’s northwest corner. For too long we have needed someone who has served in some capacity, to stand up in Atlanta and be a voice of reason. We need that voice to stand up against the one size fits all mentality in Atlanta. My years on the Commission during some of the most difficult times in our history have shown me that we need that voice.

There are many issues that are important to both the people of District 1, and all of Georgia. Issues like, the economy, Constitution, marriage, education, gun rights, and many others that demand action not reaction.  If anyone wants to know where I stand on any issue please call me at (423) 503-0618 or e-mail me at rgoffy1@yahoo.com. I hope to get out and meet as many of you as I can, but I know I can’t knock on every door. I ask you to remember the name, Robert Goff, when you go to the pole on May 20th, or during early voting in both Walker and Dade counties.
