Political Debates
Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

The Dade County High School tennis teams had a full schedule of region matches last week and it turned out to be a tough week as both the girls and boys teams dropped all three matches.

For the Lady Wolverines, they failed to pick up a win against one of the state’s best teams in the Calhoun Lady Yellow Jackets.

Madison Lacy pushed one of the sets to 6-4 but other than that it was all Lady Yellow Jackets as they picked up the 5-0 win.

It was much of the same against the Lady Indians of Armuchee with Lacy and Brooklyn Poston getting the closest to victory but again Dade fell 5-0.

In their final match of the week the Lady Wolverines traveled to Model where Lacy picked up the only victory of the week when she defeated Caroline Fincher 6-2, 7-5.

The Lady Blue Devils claimed the match 4-1 leaving
Dade winless for the week.

The Wolverine tennis team had just as difficult a week as they fell to Calhoun 5-0. The Wolverine doubles teams came close to victory but it just slipped away.

Joey Reese/Austin Forester fell 6-3, 6-3, while Stephen McCormick/Zach Freeman fell 6-3, 6-2.

In their match with Armuchee Austin Cravatt picked up the first win of the week by defeating Josh Hines 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

That would be the Wolverines only win against Armuchee as they fell 4-1.

At Model on Thursday again Cravatt would get the only Wolverine win when he defeated Hayden Wessell 6-0, 6-0. Cole Irwin lost a tough match to Matt Beard 6-4, 6-3.

The Wolverines fell to the Blue Devils 4-1.

The Lady Wolverines are now 3-6 overall and 0-5 in Region 7-AA while the Wolverines are 5-4 overall and 1-4 in Region 7-AA.
