Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?


The Dade County High School tennis teams were busy last week with three matches. They opened the week by traveling to Georgia Highlands in Rome to face Pepperell.

The Lady Wolverines had a tough time with the Lady Dragons losing the match 5-0.

The Wolverines also struggled against the Dragons with the doubles team of
Zach Freeman/Stephen McCormick picking up the only win, 6-2, 0-6, 6-4.

On Thursday afternoon the Wolverine tennis teams hosted Chattooga in another region match.

The Lady Wolverines came out on top, defeating the Lady Indians 4-1.

Picking up wins for the Lady Wolverines were Madison Lacy and Natalie Wallin in singles matches. In doubles play Sarah Reid/Brooklyn Poston and Emily Clark/Lauren Moore picked up wins for the Lady Wolverines.

The Wolverines shut out Chattooga, winning 5-0.

Picking up wins for Dade were Austin Cravatt, Hunter Phillips and Cole Irwin in singles matches and Austin Forester/Joey Reese and McCormick/ Freeman in doubles matches.

On Friday the tennis teams traveled to LaFayette to face the Ramblers in a non-region contest.

The Lady Ramblers shut the Lady Wolverines out 5-0, while the Wolverines fell 3-2 to the host.

Picking up wins for Dade were Cravatt and Irwin in singles matches.

The Lady Wolverines are now 4-8 overall and 1-6 in Region 7-AA action while the Wolverines are 6-6 overall and 2-5 in Region 7-AA.
