Hamilton County authorities have released the above sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the triple murder that occurred last week in Lookout Valley. If you have any information regarding the case or the suspect please call the police.

A triple murder last week in Lookout Valley shook the entire area as news spread through the tri-state area of the tragic events.

Accused in the triple murder case is 19–year–old Derek Morse who has a preliminary hearing set for May 8. Another suspect is being sought by police.

In addition to the three killed a 16 year old remains in the hospital with serious injuries from the attack at 4509 Kelly’s Ferry Place.

While the suspect is from Lookout Valley he had a Dade County connection.

On Oct. 25, 2011 Morse was one of two arrested for considerable damage to Dade County High School.

According to reports at the time, spray paint was used by vandals to paint windows and buildings on the school grounds, even getting on the roof to paint on windows in the Commons Area.

Tommy Bradford, DCHS School Resource Officer at the time, stated warrants were issued for two individuals from Lookout Valley, one a juvenile, for criminal damage to property and interference with government property. Both charges were felonies since the damage was over $500 he stated.

Morse has a lengthy history with law enforcement with past charges for assault, firearms violations, theft, domestic assault, fraud and various drug charges.

The victims of the triple homicide had been identified as Jon E. Morris, 24, Caleb N. Boozer, 29 and John F. Lang, 53.

Hamilton County has released a composite drawing of another suspect in the murders and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
