Three people qualified last week for the District 3 Commission seat vacated by Robert Goff when he decided to run for State Representative. The Commission then appointed Ricky Breeden to fill the seat until the November election.
Qualifying for the upcoming election was Ricky Breeden, who is currently serving as Goff’s replacement. Ben Brandon, former County Executive, and Robert Goff who is seeking re-election to the position he held before his unsuccessful run for State Representative.
All three men will be on the ballot for the Nov. 4th election with a possible run-off being necessary after that. With three in the race one must get 50 percent plus one vote to avoid an additional election to determine a winner.
