Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

 
School buses will be rolling next Wednesday morning as Dade County schools get back in session for the new school year.
 
Dade County Schools will begin the 2014-2015 school year next Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Dade Middle School and Dade County High School will hold transition day for upcoming sixth and ninth graders on Aug. 19 from 8:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. respectively.

Buses will run on Transition Day but on an altered scheduled. Please check the school’s website for bus pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Open house at Dade and Davis Elementary will be Aug. 19 from 5–7 p.m. and at Dade Middle School from 6–7:30 p.m. Dade County High School will hold open house on Sept. 9 from 7–9 p.m.

Following are the start and end times for each school:

Davis Elementary School begins at 8 a.m. Early car riders will be released at 3 p.m. while bus and late car riders will be released at 3:55 p.m.

Dade Elementary School begins at 8 a.m. Early car riders, pre-k and kindergarten, will be released at 2:45 p.m. and all bus riders and other grade level car riders will be released at 3 p.m.

Dade Middle School will begin class at 7:50 p.m. and will end at 3:15 p.m.

Dade County High school will begin class at 8 a.m. and end at 3:25 p.m.
