Political Debates
Do you plan to attend any of the political debates planned throughout the county in the coming weeks?

The Dade County Lady Wolverines softball team played a pair of games last week, including opening Region 7-AA play at Coosa.

Dade picked up a big region win at Coosa downing the host Lady Eagles 9-2.

Carri Pierce, Haley Keesler and Carly Stephens had three hits each in the game.

Stephens also scored three runs, had an RBI and one of her hits was a home run.

Sydney Poston and Cassie Rae Higdon also had a pair of hits for the Lady Wolverines, as did Autumn Smith and Morgan Lacy.

Haley Bayer picked up the win for Dade pitching seven innings, walking four and striking out two.

On Saturday the Lady Wolverines traveled to Dalton and fell to the Lady Catamounts 12-0.

Coach Christine Core Engbers thoughts for the week:

“Even though this week was slightly disappointing with our loss at Dalton, we as a team are searching for consistency. The girls are striving daily to win each pitch, play, and inning. We are taking this season one game at a time and looking to improve with each game.”

This week’s schedule has the Lady Wolverines hosting Model at home on Thursday with the first pitch at 5 p.m. The team will travel to Gordon Lee Tuesday for a 5 p.m. match-up with the Lady Trojans.
