The Dade County High School boys’ tennis team completed a successful season last week at the Region 7-AA Tournament.
The Wolverine team faced the eventual region champion in the quarterfinals and lost 5-0.
That wasn’t a reflection on the season as the boys had a nine win season and a winning region record for the first time in recent memory.
Coach Allan Morris said, “The boys had a successful year and the seniors left a winning legacy for future teams to aspire.”
The Wolverines lose five seniors, Josh Adams, Alex Moon, Andy Shrader, Charlie Forshee and Chuck Vaughn.
Next year’s team will be anchored by Austin Cravatt and Cole Birchfield. Coach Morris said he was expecting big things from the pair next year.
Congratulations to the Wolverine tennis team for raising the bar for future teams.
