Library's Used Book Sale

The Dade County Public Library announces a used book sale to be held at the library next week on its open days, Tuesday, Oct. 9, and Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 11-13. 

Other library events coming up are Trick or Treat at the Library on Oct. 27 and Library Night at McDonald’s on Nov. 5.

Job Fair Is Tomorrow

The Dade Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Department of Labor will hold a job fair for Food Outlet, the new grocery store in the site of the old Food Lion, on Thursday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Commission room of the Dade County Administrative Building.

Food Outlet expects to hire some 40-50 employees, about half of them full-time.

County, City Meetings

The Dade County Commission meets at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Commission room of the Dade Administrative Building. 

The Trenton City Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall, with its informal work session preceding at 6 p.m.

Hayrides At Cloudland

Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park are offering hayrides every Saturday from noon until 6 p.m. through November.

Rides begin on the hour and last approximately 45 minutes. Everyone should meet at the Interpretive Center.

Haunted hayrides will be Oct. 26 and 27th from 6-9 p.m.

Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.

The $5 entrance fee to the park is required.
