Ted Dyer, former UGA Cooperative County Extension Agent/Coordinator for Dade County, passed away Sept. 25.
Dyer had served as Dade County’s Extension Coordinator for over 20 years and was an example to hundreds of youth in Dade County through his work with the 4–H program. He was currently employed by the Department of Animal and Dairy Science as Extension Animal Scientist in Calhoun.
Dyer was named Dade County Citizen of the Year for 2006.
Dyer resided in the New Salem community with his wife, Carla, and their sons, Jeremy and Brett.
