The Dade County Wolverine football team enjoyed a week off last week, as did all teams in Region 7-AA.
The Wolverines needed the week off after suffering through the toughest part of their schedule in the first five weeks. With that part of the schedule behind them the Wolverines have their sights set on winning out and a possible playoff spot.
The Wolverines will host Coosa this week and the Eagles come in with a 0-5 record – the same as the Wolverines.
This week is the annual alumni game. Previous Dade County football players, cheerleaders and band members may bring their alumni coin and receive free admittance to the game.
Next week the Wolverines will again be at home to face Armuchee. The Indians are currently 1-4 and 1-1 in region play.
A trip to Chatsworth follows where Dade will face another 0-5 team, Murray County, and then the Wolverines will be back at home to face Chattooga who is currently 1-4 and 1-1 in region play.
The final game of the season could be the toughest as the Wolverines will travel to Model to face the Blue Devils who are currently 3-2 and 2-0 in region play.
The Wolverines have a chance to win out and that would be a great finish on a so far disappointing season.
