JEANETTE BATEMAN

Jeanette Rosita Bateman, 52, of Pisgah, Ala., passed away Nov. 3.

Survivors include her son, Nevin Yordy of Henagar, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Shawntay and Josh Winfrey; parents, Ernest and Jeanette Rhoden; brothers, Jody Rhoden, Jerry Rhoden; sister, Anita Rhoden, all of Pisgah, Ala.; grandchildren, Jacob Atchley, Dezaray Atchley and Isaiah Yordy.

Arrangements by Kerby Funeral Home, Henagar, Ala.

 

JAMES BETHUNE

James Guinn Bethune, 69, of Dutton, Ala., passed away Nov. 4.

He was a repairman and a Minister, served in the National Guard and member of American Legion Post #106, Trenton, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orbie  and Ruby Bethune; brother Osbie Bethune and Verlin Bethune; sister, Ruth Weldon Rouse and Ollie Mae Gass.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Bethune; daughters, Sara Bethune and Angela Bethune; sons, Dal Bethune, Reuben Bethune, Jonathan Bethune, Richard Bethune, Ethan Bethune and Reagan Bethune;  sisters, Onvil Robinson and Renee (Terry) Richard and brother, Davis Bethune; nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were Nov. 6, in the funeral home chapel of with Pastor Tim Davis officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn  Memorial Park.

PATRICIA BOWERS

Patricia Ann Bearden Bowers, 61, of Trenton, passed away Oct. 20 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Lee and Juanita Velear Bearden; sister, Evola Summerford; brothers, Wayne and Donald Bearden.

Survivors include daughters, Patsy Ray, Debbie Bruce (Steve); sons, Tony Bowers (Jessica Rhoden), Homer Bowers (Chastity); 15 grandchildren; sisters, Unita Bolton, Leonia Green, Kathy Kinsey, Chrita Evans; brothers, Paul, Charlie, Evon, Thomas, Randall and Melvin Bearden.

Funeral services were Oct. 22 in the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Thomas Bearden officiating.

Interment was in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

MARGARET CRAWFORD

Margaret S. Crawford, 92, of Ooltewah, Tenn., passed away Oct. 31. She was born in Raleigh, N.C. and was a member of Apison Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Crawford.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Tim Hustad of Ooltewah, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brian and wife Shelby Hustad, Matthew Hustad.

Funeral services were Nov. 2 at Apison Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Sam Ball and Pastor Jeff Brown officiating.

Interment was in Collegedale Memorial Park, Ooltewah, Tenn.

EMMALENE JOHNSON

Emmalene Gaye Johnson, 67, of Boaz, Ala. passed away Nov. 2.   She loved fishing, playing cards “Rook” and family outings. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Johnson; parents, Sam and Beatrice Lackey; son, David Johnson and brother, Charles Lackey.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Brooks Smith, Jacqueline Roberts, Julie Galindo and Jana Galimore; daughter-in-law, Pam Johnson; son, Mark Johnson; sisters, Glenda Lackey and Nina Carter; brothers, James Lackey and Thomas Lackey;  16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial are today at 2 p.m., EDT at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Minister Reece Fauscett officiating

ROY TISHAW

Roy Eli Tishaw, 75, of Trenton passed away Nov. 2. He was a handyman and member of Floral Crest Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Porter Tishaw; parents, Edward and Bessie Tishaw; brother, Carl Tishaw; sisters, Willie Stewart, Bernice Pittman and Esther Rorex; and son, Roy Eli Tishaw, Jr.

Survivors include his daughters, Darcy Higdon and Christy Ellis; brother, Mark Tishaw; four grandchildren, Susan and Justin Higdon and Coleton and Hunter Ellis; great–grandchild, Chloe Higdon.

Funeral services were Nov. 5 at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Carlis Clinton  and Brother Justin Higdon officiating. Burial was in Floral Crest Cemetery.

BUDDY WHITZELL

Buddy Wayne Whitzell, 49, of Fort Payne, Ala., passed away Nov. 3 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Betty Stewart Whitzell.

Survivors include his sons, Justin Whitzell of Fort Payne, Ala., Keith Whitzell of Skyline, Ala.; grandchildren, Kasey and Elijah Whitzell; sisters, Brenda Whitzell of Fort Payne, Ala., Linda Akers of Fyffe, Ala.; brother, David Bryant of Fort Payne, Ala.; step-father, Arthur Bryant.

The family will have a private memorial service.
