Veterans' Day Parade
Dade County will honor its veterans this Saturday with the annual Veterans’ Day parade. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Moore’s Funeral Home and will proceed north up Main Street to Veterans’ Park on the Courthouse Square.
Participants in the parade are asked to be at Moore’s at 10 a.m. for line up.
Following the parade refreshments will be served at American Legion Post 106 and the Post’s military museum will open for everyone to tour.
On Sunday at 2:30 p.m., in Veterans’ Park speakers and special singers will honor our veterans.
Everyone is asked to attend Saturday and Sunday’s events to show your appreciation for Dade’s veterans.
Softball Team Celebration
Dade County High School is inviting the community to come congratulate the Lady Wolverine softball team and coaches for winning the State 7AA Softball Championship at a Dessert Social Tuesday evening.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the high school.
Everyone is invited.
Toy Ride Is Saturday
Trenton Masonic Lodge #179 is hosting a toy ride for the children of Dade County Saturday at 10 a.m.
All motorcycles, jeep and classic car owners are invited to attend.
Riders will leave from Ingles parking lot and the ride will end at the Masonic lodge where there will be a free hot dog and chili lunch.
There will also be an all-you-can eat breakfast served at the lodge, starting at 6 a.m., $5 per person.
