CHRISTINE CHADWICK
Willie
Christine Chadwick, 85, of Trenton passed away Nov. 25. She was a member of
Cloverdale Baptist Church and she was retired from Trenton Spinning Mill.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Lester Chadwick; parents, Albert “Jack” and
Lucille Blevins; brother, Lewis Blevins.
Survivors
include her daughter and son in law, Linda and Lamar York, Rising Fawn; two
grandchildren, Kevin (Leslie) York and Megan (Jason) Dodd; great grandchildren,
Addison Dodd and Cameron Dodd.
Funeral
services will be today at 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Brother
Charlie Edmonds officiating. Burial will be in Deer Head Cove Cemetery.
Visitation will
be today from 11 a.m. until service time.

John William
Porter, 74, of Pisgah, Ala., passed away Nov. 26.
Survivors
include his wife, Mary Moxley Porter of Pisgah, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law,
John D. and Lisa Porter of Scottsboro, Ala.; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy
Michelle Porter Solis of Pisgah, Ala., Utacha and Mark Gilliland of Rossville,
Misty and Scottie Sims of Alexander City, Ala., Christy Hamilton of Pisgah,
Ala.; brothers, Rev. Fred Porter of Pisgah, Ala., Bufford Porter of Trenton,
Larry Porter of Pisgah, Ala.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside
services will be held today at 11:00 a.m. CST in Green Haven Memorial Gardens
with Rev. Dwight Gorham officiating.

GENE SCOTT
Melton Eugene
“Gene” Scott, 70, of Trenton, passed away Nov. 24. Mr. Scott was retired from
Tipton Steel Erectors of Chattanooga. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a
veteran of the U.S Army. He worked as a draftsman, welder, layout man, and
pipefitter. Much of his work can be seen around Chattanooga in the iron fences
around the Chattanooga Aquarium or in the iron steps. He loved taking long
rides, hunting and fishing. He was an avid flea marketer known locally as the
tool man.
He was preceded
in death by his parents, Ernest P. and Ethel Jane Dawson Scott and three
brothers.
Survivors
include his wife, Mary N. Scott of Trenton; daughters, Gloria (Randy) Cloud and
Marie (Matt) Wooten-Anderson, of Trenton; son, Michael (Cindy) Scott of
Trenton; sisters, Cecil Teems of Rossville and Louise Sheets of Soddy Daisy,
Tenn.; brothers, Kenny Scott of Nashville, Tenn., Wilson Scott of Nashville,
Tenn., and Bobby Scott of Rossville; grandchildren, Keith, Allen, Chancie,
Chase, Corey, Katie, Becky and True; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Camden,
Lateesha, Lexie, Aja, Nina, Josie, Chloe and Allie; several nieces and nephews.
The family
gives a special thanks to Janie Sheets who gave special care to her uncle.
Funeral
services are today at 11:30 a.m., in the chapel with Rev. Eddie Cantrell and
Dewayne Roberson officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National
Cemetery.

Lenzy Ross
Riddle, 78, of Rising Fawn, born September 9, 1934 to the late Thomas and Inez
Castleberry Riddle passed away Nov. 24. He was a lifelong resident of Rising
Fawn. He was formerly employed by Georgia Forestry, Mississippi Valley Steel
and Earth Grain Bakery.
He was preceded
in death by his parents; three brothers, Tom, Jerry and Larry Riddle.
Survivors
include his two sisters, Pat Moses, Trenton and Sue (Harold) Crowder, Rising Fawn;
several nieces and nephews.

Joe Mack
Williams, Sr., 83, of Rising Fawn, passed away Nov. 24. He was a member of the
Hooker Church of God. Mr. Williams retired from 3M Company of Chattanooga,
Tenn.
He is preceded
in death by his parents, Virgil M. and Mary Elizabeth Bryan Williams; sons,
Eugene and Alan; and brothers, Clakie and Charles Williams.
Survivors include
his wife, Helen Odella Wooten Williams, Rising Fawn; son, Joe M. Williams, Jr.,
Rising Fawn; grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were Nov. 26 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jessie Williams and
Rev. Jerry Williams of Ft. Payne, Ala. Interment will be in Hanna Cemetery.
