Monday Wreck Claims Life

A 79-year-old male from Chattanooga, Tenn., was killed Monday night in a single car accident on Hales Gap Road, Sand Mountain.
Based on information obtained from the Georgia State Patrol the vehicle hit the guardrail, crossed the centerline and hit an embankment. The driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

Free Credit Workshop  

The Dade County Library will host a lunch-and-learn session this Thursday on the subject of “Protecting Your Credit.”
The event runs from 12:30-2:30 p.m. and there is no admission charge but pre-registration is required.

Winterfest Is Saturday

Trenton United Methodist Church's youth will sponsor  their annual Winterfest fundraiser Saturday in the church gym from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The event will feature several craft and vendor booths for adults and for $5 children can enjoy games and an inflatable.
Santa will be on hand for pictures. The price for a picture with Santa is $8.
All proceeds will be used for the youth to attend Resurrection.

New Artscape Installation

The Trenton Arts Council will put its third “Artscape” project into place this weekend. “Artscape” is an ongoing series of sculptures to be placed on public and private land along Main Street.  
“Temporal Transect #2,” by Jerry Wallace, will be installed on the property of W. D. Thomas Enterprises Inc. on Highway 11 North, one block south of City Hall.  
A formal unveiling will be announced later.
