Junior Ranger Camp Offered

Cloudland Canyon State Park will offer Junior Ranger Camp for ages 8 - 12 the week of Aug. 6 - Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for $100.

Children will work towards receiving a badge and participate in activities including hiking, fishing, ecology studies, games and crafts.

Hunter Edu. Classes Set

Dade County Hunter Education classes will be held Aug. 21, Sept. 18, Oct. 16 and Nov.. 12 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Dade County Administrative Building in the front meeting room.

All applicants must pre-register at www.georgiawildlife.com after the registration process go to www.beasafehunter.org and take the Hunter Education course online.

Upon completion of the course print the affidavit and bring a copy to a class mentioned above.

Shiloh Church Dedication

The Shiloh Community Church, Church of the Nazarene will have a dedication of their new sanctuary and fellowship hall on Aug. 5 at 3 p.m. EST.

The church was destroyed in the April 27, 2011 tornados that ripped through the area.

The church is located at 6688 Co. Rd. 155 in Higdon, Ala.
