DCHS Bands Selling Citrus
The Dade County bands has begun its fall citrus fundraiser. Orders will be taken for 20 pound boxes of grove-fresh Florida navel oranges, tangelos, juice oranges and Indian River red grapefruit. Buyers may also choose to order online.
Orders will be taken through Nov. 6th.
Prices are $20-$25 per case. Fruit will be delivered Dec. 5th.

Food Outlet Opens Today
Food Outlet, the new grocery store in the site of the old Food Lion on Highway 136 West, holds its grand opening today. The Dade County Chamber of Commerce will stage a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. and doors will open to customers thereafter.
Normal business hours going forward will be 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Food Outlet specializes in local produce and fresh-cut meats and offers all grocery items at wholesale cost plus 10 percent.
Toy Ride Is Sunday
The Dade County Sheriff’s Department will host a toy ride Sunday beginning at noon, with kickstands up at 2 p.m., to benefit "Hope For The Holiday’s."
The ride will begin and end at Dade County High School, ride length is approximately 55 minutes.
Everyone is ask to bring an unwrapped toy or donation and the first 50 riders to donate will receive a meal ticket. Chili, hot dogs, chips and a drink will be served for $5.
