The Dade County
Lady Wolverine basketball team opened the 2012-2013 season in a big way last
week as they played four games in five days and came away with a perfect 4-0
record.
The Lady Wolverines
opened the season at home on Tuesday night when they faced the Lady Warriors of
Marion County.
The Lady
Warriors quickly found themselves completely outmanned as the taller, quicker
Lady Wolverines dominated the game from the opening tip.
Dade was up
24-6 after one quarter and by the end of the first half were ahead 37-13.
The Lady
Wolverines emptied the bench in the second half and still managed to hold the
visiting Lady Warriors to only seven points, only one in the final period.
When the final buzzer
sounded the Lady Wolverines had their first victory of the season 60-19.
Ansley Chilton
led the Lady Wolverines with 17 points followed by Erika Woodfin with 13 and
Hailey Gass with 11.

first half action.

after the first quarter and 19-18 at the end of the first half.
That all
changed in the third quarter as the Lady Wolverines came out with greater
intensity and dominated play in the second half.

17-9 for a final 56-35 win.
