Community Christmas

New Salem’s annual Community Christmas Program is this Sunday at the community center.

Everyone is invited to come start the holiday season with members of the New Salem community as they enjoy Christmas caroling, fellowship and more.

The program begins at 6 p.m.

Join In The Festivities!

The Dade County Chamber of Commerce is still accepting entries for the 34th annual Christmas parade on Dec. 8. Floats, marching bands, four–wheelers, horse riders, etc., are welcome. Churches, civic organizations and businesses are all encouraged to participate.

Chamber officials ask that you register as soon as possible. Call the Chamber office to register.

Vendor applications are still being accepted for Christmas on the Square. Anyone with handmade crafts or gift ideas are welcome. Christmas on the Square is held immediately after the parade.

The Chamber is also looking for volunteers to come help decorate the Courthouse Square for the evening’s events. Call the Chamber office at (706) 657-4488 for dates and times.

Christmas Cantata

Trenton United Methodist Church’s Choir will present its Christmas Cantata, “O Holy Night”, Sunday beginning at 6 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Post Café Is Open

The American Legion Hall has opened the Post Café and is currently serving breakfast on Saturdays from 6 until 11 a.m.

All proceeds will benefit the building fund.
