The Dade County Lady Wolverines continued their winning ways last week as they hosted a pair of AAAA schools in the LaFayette Lady Ramblers and the Ridgeland Lady Panthers.
On Friday night the Lady Wolverines faced LaFayette’s Lady Ramblers. Dade took an early lead and while not playing their best ball were never really challenged by the visitors.
When the first quarter ended the Lady Wolverines held a 15-9 lead. The second quarter was a carbon copy of the first and Dade was up 30-18 at the end of the first half.
In the third quarter the Lady Ramblers rallied back and cut the Lady Wolverine lead to five points, 37-32.
The Lady Wolverines stepped up the defense in the fourth quarter and held the visiting Lady Ramblers to two points. When the final buzzer sounded the Lady Wolverines had their fifth win of the year, 45-34.
Ansley Chilton scored 15 points while Lindsey Tinker scored 13 and Abby Bradford finished the night with 9.

On Saturday night the Lady Wolverines hosted the Ridgeland Lady Panthers in another non-region contest.
This game was over early as Dade scored 21 first quarter points while holding the Lady Panthers to only 7.
The second quarter was more of the same and the Lady Wolverines finished the first half up 41-16.
Erika Woodfin led the Lady Wolverines with 14 points, hitting four three–point shots, and Sarah Reid scored 12 points. In all nine Lady Wolverines scored in the game.
This week the Lady Wolverines traveled to Marion County on Tuesday night and then travel to Bremen on Friday.
