The quarterly Men’s Luncheon at Trenton United Methodist Church will be held this Friday at noon and all area men are invited to attend.
The special guest speaker will be Steve Byrum, a senior partner in Judgment Index USA.
Byrum’s work has focused its attention on projects relating to organizational development, leadership enhancement, and executive team building.
Byrum is also considered a leading expert in the use of the Judgment Index/Hartman Value Profile, an assessment instrument designed to analyze and develop good judgment in individuals and groups. Using the tool, he has helped organizations across the country in hiring, reducing turnover and attrition, finding good people who “fit,” and helping organizations understand who is ready for promotion to leadership and key management positions.
A wide variety of present clients include: Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (Houston), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, Mohawk Industries, Sonic Automotive, Pilot/Flying J, Mayo Clinic, the Krystal Corporation, the Southeastern Conference, and the University of South Florida School Of Medicine.
Byrum is a native of Athens, Tenn., and holds a BA from Tennessee Wesleyan College, an MDiv from Southern Seminary, and a MA and PhD from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has done post-graduate work at Princeton, Vanderbilt, and Spellman College. He taught and served in executive academic positions for 25 years.
In addition to his academic and consulting work, he had a personal and family counseling practice for 22 years. His consulting work in business and industry started in 1978 with the Tennessee Valley Authority, HCA, and the Olan Mills Corporation.
Byrum is also the author of nearly 40 books and well over 150 periodical articles.
Byrum is married, and he and his wife have two adult children and two grandchildren.
